ಚಾಮರಾಜನಗರದ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಹದಗೆಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು, ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಬರುವ ಜನರು ಪರದಾಡಬೇಕಾದ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಎದುರಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸುವಂತೆ ಚಾಮರಾಜನಗರದ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಎದುರು ನಮ್ಮ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಘಟಕದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 23 ರಿಂದ ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಉಪವಾಸ ಸತ್ಯಾಗ್ರಹ ನಡೆಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟಿಸಿದರು. ಉಪವಾಸ ಸತ್ಯಾಗ್ರಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 26 ರಂದು ಟಿ.ಏ. ನಾರಾಯಣ ಗೌಡರು ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.

‘Take steps to improve condition of hospital’

CHAMARAJANAGAR: President of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike T.A. Narayana Gowda has warned that a Statewide agitation will be launched if the district in-charge Minister and the Health Minister fail to take steps to improve the condition of the district hospital here within 24 hours.
Addressing presspersons after participating in an indefinite dharna being staged by members of the district unit of the vedike here on Saturday, he said that the Chief Minister would be appraised of the pathetic condition of the district hospital.
Taluk secretary of the vedike D. Nagendra said the vedike would give a call for Chamarajanagar bandh on Tuesday if the Health Minister failed to visit the hospital by then.
The fast by vedike members entered fourth day on Saturday. The condition of three members of the vedike, who were on fast, worsened and they were admitted to hospital.

Karnataka Rakshana Vedike withdraws hunger strike

CHAMARAJNAGAR: The activists of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike withdrew their hunger strike on Sunday following welfare top brass. They were demanding better facilities at the district government hospital.
Senior officials from the department held discussion with the protestors. The mediation helped as the protesters withdrew the strike following directions from the organization president Narayana Gowda.
Senior officials from the department Sumuda Desai met the four protesters who were taken ill on Saturday. She later held discussion with the leaders of the organisation and persuaded them to withdraw the strike assuring that she will do what is needed. But the protestors insisted a written assurance. When it was made available, they contacted Gowda and withdrew the strike late on Saturday night.
However, the farmers protest that led to transfer of DC Manojkumar Meena and SP T D Pawar entered the 22nd day on Sunday. Though chief minister B S Yeddyurappa intervened and asked them to withdraw the protest, they did not heed his request. The CM has conveyed to the farmer leaders that he will send water resources minister Basavaraj Bommai, energy minister K S Eshwarappa and urban development and parliamentary affairs minister S Suresh Kumar to hold discussion with them on December 30.
